Crescent Island is located in Lake Naivasha, 14.1 Kilometres from Naivasha town and 95 kilometres from Nairobi City. The island is adjacent to Lotus island.

Crescent island was formed in the year 1988 when the waters at Lake Naivasha significantly dropped.

The island lies 6,200 feet above the sea level.

To access Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, you will need to ride a boat from the main land. The charges for riding the boat is KES 3,000 for 7 people.

The charges still remain the same even if the number of people is less than 7.

In case you are using a Helicopter, you can land on the island directly. There are no landing charges.

The Island does not have predators like lions or cheetahs and this allows visitors to get very close to the animals on foot.
