The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was founded in the year 1977 by Dame Daphne Sheldrick to honor her late husband David Sheldrick.

The Wildlife Trust is located along Magadi Road in Nairobi National Park. It’s main role is to rescue orphan elephants, breed them and then release them back to the wild when they are mature enough.
